Mobile Gateway Configuration (Configuration Center)

Configuration Center is a Windows® based software and the primary tool for configuring Galooli’s K2 and MILA7 smart fleet gateways.

It uses standard Windows features and styles, such as toolbars, menus, and property pages.

The configuration center uses a network protocol to communicate with the gateway via a serial connection.

To install the configuration center, use the following link

Using the configuration center you can:

  • Read the current metrics and settings of the gateway

  • Download/upload files with existing settings

  • Upgrade/downgrade gateway’s firmware and MILA 7 firmware

  • Calibrate the accelerometer

  • Pair between MILA7 to ELM327

Log-In Process

It is very easy and intuitive for the user to log in to the Configuration Center platform. Username (Email) and password are the same as those configured on the main Galooli solution platform - https://galooli.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KP/pages/2723872777/Galooli+Solution#Log-In-Process

Configuration

The Configuration tab allows the user to make changes and adjustments to gateways

Communication

The purpose of Communication is to configure the K2 communication settings with the Galooli server.

  • Server URL – Type in the GALOOLI server URL

  • Network APN – Type in the access point name of the mobile network (GPRS Enabled)

  • Network User – Type in if the parameter is required by the mobile network

  • Network Password – Type in if the parameter is required by the mobile network

Report Intervals

The purpose of Report Intervals is to configure the K2 reporting intervals to the Galooli Server.

  • Ignition On Interval - Type in the time interval in seconds in which the K2 gateway will send a report to Galooli Server while the engine is on. (default & recommended setting is 60 seconds)

  • Ignition Off Interval - Type in the time interval in seconds in which the K2 gateway will send a report to Galooli Server while the engine is off. (default & recommended setting is 900 seconds)

Inputs

The purpose of Inputs is the general configuration of the K2 inputs.

  • Every input includes 2 tabs:

Status Thresholds - allows you to manage the voltage although, it is recommended by Galooli to not change the default.

Activation Delay - allows you to delay the time between the electrical voltage and the bulb that alerts about it.

  • Input 2 - It is possible to choose between 2 types of inputs. Normal Mode and Temperature Sensor

  • Input 3 and 4 - It is possible to choose between 3 types of inputs. Normal Mode/Pulse Counter/Temperature Sensor(3-Wires)

Driver Identification & Immobilizer

The purpose of Driver Identification & Immobilizer is to configure the method of driver identification such as Dallas button, keypad, etc.

  • Identification Device – Select the external identification device (Dallas Button, Keypad panel, Dallas and Keypad, RFID Device)

  • Operating Mode:
Disabled - When the immobilizer option is disabled, the gateway can be immobilized only via ZON MAX or Configuration Center.
Mobilized by any code - The gateway will be mobilized by any driver identification code. (The access code will still be relevant for driver identification in ZON MAX).
Mobilized by Authorized code only – The gateway will be mobilized only by the codes listed in the Authorize Drivers section.

Mark checkbox to immobilize the gateway when jamming is detected. That means that the ignition switch will be disabled if the gateway (K2) will detect a jamming device. The gateway will not turn off an already running engine.

Authorize Drivers

The Authorize Drivers is a direct continuation of the previous section (Driver Identification & Immobilizer).
This section allows you to select the type of ID code and digits of the ID code only if the user chooses “Mobilize by Authorized code only” in the Immobilizer Control section.

  • Matching Mode:
Disabled - The mobilizer code would not be in use.
Unique ID - This option allows to enter a specific code of the identification device that burned into the unit in the factory so that only the driver holding this specific gateway number can drive the vehicle.
User Group ID - This option allows independently setting the same identification code for multiplay drivers. The group id essentially overwrites the gateways code and exchanges it to a set-id that identifies the group rather than an individual user. The identification is done via the first 4 digits of the code entered into the system.
User ID - This option allows to set a unique identification code for a specific user that is different from the code that burned into the unit in the factory.

Fuel

The purpose of Fuel is to Configure the fuel control settings

  • Source:

None – Select when there’s no fuel input.

Sender – Select when the fuel input is a sender.

Sender Type B -  Select only if instructed by Galooli Support department

Capacitive Sensor- Select when the fuel input is a designated capacitive sensor (LLS).

Engine Computer– Select when the fuel input comes through the engine diagnostic.

Digital Pressure Sensor – Select when the fuel input is a digital pressure sensor.

  • Noise Factor:

The noise factor selections are from “Low” to “Extreme”. The recommendation is to use the “Standard” option.

Driver Behavior

The purpose of Driver Behavior is to configure the driver behavior settings.

  • Speed Alert – Set an alert when exceeding a certain speed (presented in Km)

  • Vehicle Type – Select the vehicle type from the selection menu. This will automatically update the thresholds for acceleration, brake, and turn events. These thresholds will then be the basis for event notifications and user alerts if the driver exceeds the threshold

Users can also set the thresholds manually by selecting Manual Settings. This will open a list of all thresholds where the user can add the G parameters.

Buzzer Control

The purpose of Buzzer Control is to configure the buzzer settings.

In general, the buzzer serves to alert the driver whenever a certain event occurs, as described below.

Advanced Diagnostics

The purpose of Advanced Diagnostics is to configure the advanced diagnostic settings.

  • System Status Source - Select which source will indicate if the gateway is ON/OFF.

  • Distance Source - Select the distance source for the gateway GPS/Odometer.

  • Engine Computer - Select which source connects to the engine computer.

  • ADAS - Select one of the following:

  1. CAN on MILA7 >> Mobileye (After Market) or Mobileye (OEM) Locked version of Mobileye or MOVON

  2. CAN on K2 >> Mobileye (After Market) or Mobileye (OEM) Locked version of Mobileye or MOVON

Power Management

The purpose of Power Management is to save energy when the gateway is not active.

  • Time to Power Down - Set a time for the gateway to enter sleep mode. In Sleep mode, the gateway's communications are off

  • Wake up interval - Set time intervals in which the gateway will wake up and connect to Galooli servers

  • MAX wake up time - Set a max time for connection attempts (bad reception)

  • Time to use backup only - Set a time duration for consuming power only from the backup battery

  • Minimum backup Voltage - Set a minimum voltage in which charging will re-start

  • Charge only while On - Cancels the charging of the internal battery of the gateway by the vehicle's battery
