Cabinet Tray Set

Cabinet Tray Set

The Galooli Cabinet Tray is a durable, indoor tray that can host a DC-DC converter, Galooli gateway, and extensions with terminal blocks connection for easy wiring and quicker installation time.

The tray structure changes based on the type of gateway.

The Cabinet Tray is designed to be installed in a standard cabinet (19’’ width and 2U height).

Cabinet Layouts

Ultragate Cabinet Tray Layout

In telecom sites we have many sensors and panels, therefore, we created this efficient tray, to help manage all the wires, and to be on top of things.

  • The specification applies to both the cabinet tray and the metal box.

  • There is dedicated compatibility between the Ultragate gateway and the tray cabinet/metal box.

Main Input Fuse

This is the main fuse and input of electricity for the tray, it can receive from +18VDC to +75VDC, the main fuse need to be connected to the DC to DC power converter.

DC to DC converter

The converter converts the input voltage (18VDC-75VDC) to +12V, since most of the sensors and devices, including the gateways, are working on +12VDC.

Grounding

Grounding is made to protect the sensitive electrical equipment in the tray, the grounding resistance should not be more than 5Ω.

GND & +12V Terminal

Extension terminal for GND and +12V power.
These are the main power slots for all the consumers in the tray, it is receiving power from the DC to DC converter. Any device in the tray should consume power only from the terminal blocks.

RS485 Terminal

Extension terminal for the gateway RS485 port, to provide a serial connection between the gateway and the other devices and sensors on the site.
The orange terminal is for Port A and the blue wires are for Port B

Gateway Slot

The gateway slot is a place for the gateway on the din rail, with the exact length of the green connectors, dedicated for the gateway.

Gateway Terminal

All the inputs & outputs of the gateway & EX20 are extended to the gray terminal, to have organized & comfortable connections to the devices.
Each input in the gray terminal directly extends the actual input in the gateway or EX20.

Hatch Sensor

The Hatch Sensor exists to indicate if the tray is opened.
As a convention, it always will be connected to the 5th input of the gateway.

Data Logger Slot

The Data Logger extension enables the expansion of the gateway

With the Data Logger connected to the gateway, a greater quantity of analog and digital sensors may be connected to the gateway.

Surge Protection Device (SPD) Slot

SPD is a device designed to protect electrical systems and equipment from voltage surges caused by lightning strikes, power grid fluctuations, or switching operations. It works by diverting excess voltage away from sensitive components. When connected to the Galooli Tray/Metal Box, a 13.5V charging voltage is required.

Backup Battery

For the adjusted Ultragate battery tray – an external 12V lead-acid battery is connected via a battery charger with a built-in SPD (Surge Protection Device) as an integral component of the tray/metal box.

For the battery to charge, the DC/DC must be set to 13.5V.
This should be an integral part of the process, including verification with a voltmeter to ensure the correct voltage is set.
