Values of Galooli active control tools
Remote control is one of Galooli's solution branches that allows users to perform data collection and operations remotely for a wide range of purposes and in a variety of industries. By utilizing this capability, the organization will not only improve its work method, but will also save money and be able to respond to malfunctions much more quickly.
Furthermore, active control tools provide the following values:
Preventing outages and improving asset availability
Optimization of energy consumption
Increasing the efficiency of Opex
Increasing the CapEx and the service life of equipment
Battery overcharging and undercharging prevention
Carbon footprint reduction

Edge Computing
Edge Computing enables autonomous operation at the site level by allowing the Gateway to process predefined logic locally, without depending on constant connectivity to a central server.
Using the Power Center Edge Computing configuration, users can define conditional rules based on parameters such as voltage, temperature, sensor values, or custom variables. When the configured condition is met, the Gateway can automatically trigger actions such as turning digital outputs on or off, sending SNMP or Modbus commands, or activating cooling mechanisms.
This capability helps sites respond faster to local conditions, reduce dependency on communication with the cloud, lower bandwidth usage, and maintain reliable operation even during network disruptions.
Main values:
Faster local response to operational conditions
Improved site reliability during communication interruptions
Reduced bandwidth usage
Automated control of Gateway inputs and outputs
Local activation of cooling and energy-related logic

Peak Shaving
Peak Shaving is an Active Control capability designed to help smart-battery sites reduce grid-related operational costs by automatically managing how and when the site consumes power from the grid.
The solution enables the site to respond to grid conditions in real time. When grid usage should be reduced, the system can shift part of the site load to the battery, limit unnecessary grid consumption, and prevent battery charging during periods where using grid power is less efficient or more expensive.
As part of Galooli’s active control approach, Peak Shaving does not only monitor the site condition — it actively adjusts the site’s energy behavior according to predefined operational conditions. This helps customers reduce exposure to high grid tariffs, avoid unnecessary grid peaks, and improve the use of smart batteries as part of the site’s energy strategy.
Main values:
Reduces grid usage during costly or constrained periods
Helps avoid unnecessary grid power peaks
Uses smart batteries as an active energy-balancing resource
Supports automated local energy control
Improves operational efficiency at smart-battery sites

Battery Test
Battery Test is an Active Control capability that enables Galooli to initiate smart battery testing across multiple sites in parallel through automated Galooli logic.
Instead of performing smart battery checks manually site by site, the solution allows selected sites to run a controlled battery test as part of an automated operational process. This helps organizations evaluate battery readiness, identify sites that may require attention, and support proactive maintenance planning.
As part of Galooli’s active control approach, Battery Test does not only monitor battery status — it actively triggers a defined test process across the relevant sites, helping teams verify battery performance and operational availability in a structured and scalable way.
Main values:
Enables battery testing across multiple sites in parallel
Reduces the need for manual site-by-site testing
Supports proactive identification of battery-related issues
Improves operational readiness of backup power systems
Helps technical teams manage battery maintenance at scale
Uses Galooli automation to activate and manage the testing process

SolCycle24 (Solar AI)
A system and method for maximizing solar energy usage and optimizing non-renewable energy sources of a power site.
An optimization can involve receiving a weather forecast, expected power output for a predefined period, and a power source to provide power during one or more intervals.
A future weather forecast and power output can be used to make the decision. An optimization can involve minimizing the time generators are used and maximizing the time solar panels are used.

X-Ray
“X-Ray” is a remote configuration management system for energy devices like generators, rectifiers, invertors, and charge controllers. It provides users with the following primary functions:
Saving the configurations of all their assets
Monitoring configurations regularly
Setting configurations of one or more or all assets in endless formations
Identifying configuration errors of one or more power sources within the broader remote power site management context.
Correcting errors when such are identified.
Differentiating between configuration errors and other types of technical malfunctions.
In some instances: identifying the layout-related source of a configuration issue.
Increasing site security and decreasing the ability of an unauthorized third party to change asset configurations.
Cut Through
With the Galooli RTU gateways and the "Cut Through" procedure, it is possible to read and set various parameters from different devices that communicate using various methods, including Modbus over RS485, Modbus TCP, and SNMP over Ethernet.
The devices include rectifiers, smart batteries, generators, inverters, and charge controllers.

Generator Remote Control
The Galooli RTU gateways can be connected to supported generator panel controllers, enabling remote control of various aspects of the generator using the Galooli solution and Galooli Mobile App.
Vehicles Remote Control
Using Galooli platforms and an electronic security device fitted to a motor vehicle (Relay), we can prevent the engine from starting unless the correct driver authorization is present or the vehicle has been immobilized remotely.
