X-Ray and Cut Through

Name of the lesson

X-Ray and Cut Through

Purpose of the lesson

The purpose of the lesson is to get acquainted with the Galooli X-Ray and Cut Through tools, as well as to comprehend their differences and value.

Target Audience

End-users of the system such as service providers, back-office, organization managers, etc.

It is highly recommended to go through the contents in the order in which they appear.

X-Ray

Galooli X-Ray is a remote configuration management system for energy devices like generators, rectifiers, inverters , and charge controllers. Galooli X-Ray tracks configurations and remotely corrects incorrect settings in order to prevent failures without physically visiting the site.

This product is designed to track and manage static configurations of devices on site, meaning configurations that have a fixed value and are not supposed to change on a regular basis, which is why it is being queried once a day.

Correct configuration will result in cost savings for the following reasons: The site's energy efficiency and long-term component efficiency.

Cut Through

Galooli Cut Through procedure is a online manual tool that allows to read and set various parameters via different devices that communicate using various methods, including Modbus over RS485, SNMP over Ethernet.

The devices include rectifiers, smart batteries, generators, inverters, and charge controllers.

The Cut Through procedure allows you to read and set parameters manually for a variety of reasons, including parameters that Galooli does not collect on a daily basis or parameters that you wish to verify directly from the device.

What?

Configuration management tool of Galooli that allows you to track and modify static configurations on various devices, read their parameters, and set them.

A Galooli tool that allows you to connect remotely to various devices, manually read and set their parameters.

When?

The data is automatically analyzed and modified once a day

Proactively performed by the user and in accordance with the user's needs

Who?

User and system

The user

How?

  1. Through the My X-Ray tool, the user creates a table or uploads a file containing all the relevant configurations. It contains both the min/max values of the configurations as well as the set parameter that will be automatically set by the system if the actual parameter value falls outside the range.

  2. Using the X-Ray KPIs tool, the user can track and manage all the configured configurations in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of the organization.

  1. When an issue related to the data is discovered, the user will use the Cut Through tool to read parameters and even set parameters proactively.

As a result, both tools allow reading and setting configuration values; the main differences are between the types of configurations and the manner in which they are implemented.
