Voltage Balancing

One of the functions of the Battery Cell Monitoring Solution is voltage balancing.

What is battery Voltage Balancing?

A feature of the solution that prevents over-charge & under-charge of the batteries.

What causes an unbalanced battery?

  • During battery manufacturing, there will be some differences in the internal structure and material of the battery

  • During usage, differences in the battery temperature, ventilation condition

  • The inconsistency in the capacity, voltage, and internal resistance of batteries will lead to voltage unbalance

The battery cell with the lowest capacity is much more easily to be over-charged & under-charged. Its capacity will become lower and lower and get into a vicious cycle. The capacity of a battery string depends on the battery cell with the lowest capacity

What are the benefits of balanced batteries?

  • Prevent over-charge & under-charge of the batteries

  • Keep the battery in the best state

  • Extending battery life

How do I balance the battery voltage?

Through a couple of simple steps in the Battery Cell Monitoring internal software during the installation of the Battery Cell Monitoring unit.
