How to replace Elara's Gateway PCB?
The following article details the procedure for replacing the different PCB’s of the Elara Gateway if required. It is essential to follow the steps consistently to ensure that the Gateway functions correctly and without issues.
Upper PCB Replacement
Open the Elara Gateway cover by pressing the clips that secure the cover on both sides of the Gateway. It is recommended to use a flat-head screwdriver.
Carefully and gently lift the top cover. It is recommended to hold the bottom cover with one hand while lifting the top cover.
If a backup battery is connected to the Elara Gateway, make sure to disconnect the cable connecting the battery to the bottom PCB before fully removing the top cover.
To remove the top PCB, hold the bottom PCB with one hand and carefully pull the top PCB upwards.
To remove the middle PCB, hold the bottom PCB with one hand and carefully pull the middle PCB upwards.
Take the new middle PCB and assemble it back onto the bottom PCB. It is crucial to ensure that the PCB is oriented correctly, as shown in the image and indicated by the arrows.
Handle the PCB carefully during assembly and make sure all pins are properly aligned and inserted on both sides.
Take the new upper PCB and assemble it back onto the middle PCB. It is crucial to ensure that the PCB is oriented correctly, as shown in the image and indicated by the arrows.

Pay attention to a common mistake during PCB assembly, where the pins remain outside their designated position, causing the Elara Gateway to malfunction.
Reconnect the backup battery if necessary and reattach the top cover.
