Using Copy Settings, the user can manage the units of the organization in a convenient and time-saving manner. Using this solution, the user can duplicate parts or all of the settings from one unit to one or more other units within the organization.

Users can duplicate the following fields:

  • General Preferences

  • Additional Information

  • Events

  • IOs

  • Display Flags

Defining the Destination Units

Step 1: Select the source unit from the organization tree. The source unit carries all the definitions you would like to copy over to the destination units. Once the unit is selected, click “Copy Settings” to access the main menu

Step 2: General

The source unit's general data is described in this section. To copy preferences, check the relevant boxes.

Users may choose to copy all the general data or some of it, or not use the general data at all.

Once the general data are selected, click Next to access the additional information section.

Step 3: Additional Information

The source unit's Additional Information data is described in this section. To copy the Additional Information, check the relevant boxes.

Users may choose to copy all the Additional Information data or some of it, or not use the Additional Information data at all.

Once the Additional Information is selected, click Next to access the Events section.


Step 3: Events

This section details all the events in the source unit including their name, type, and severity.

Users may choose to copy all the events, some of the events, or not use the events at all.

Once the events are selected, click Next to access the IOs section.

Step 4: Review IOs.

This section details all the IOs in the source unit including their name, and type. Users may choose to copy all the IOs, some of the IOs, or not to use the IOs at all.

Once the IOs are selected, click Next to access the Display Flags section.

Step 5: Display Flags.

This section details all the display flags in the source unit for both the dashboard and live data box display. Users may choose to copy all the Flags, some of the Flags, or not to use the Flags at all.

Once the display flags are selected, click Next to access the Destination Units section.

Step 6: Destination Units.

The destination units are the units that will receive the chosen settings of the source unit. Based on the definitions set in previous stages, all destination units will contain the settings of the source unit accordingly.

Prior to completing the process, ensure that the correct target units have been selected. There is no undo option. The only way to recover is to copy the settings again from a different source unit or to change them manually

Finalize the process by clicking Override Data. The units selected will contain the new settings as copied over from the original unit.
