Geofences management solution offers the user to view selected Geofences or to structure a virtual perimeter within a specified geographical. The Geofences will appear in the map display and the user can request events that indicate the presence of the unit in or outside the desired Geofence. 

Geofence can be associated with the organization, cluster, or group based on the preference of the user.

Furthermore, the solution allows external files with multiple Geofences to be uploaded into the system.

  1. Geofences Table

    To select/edit a specific Geofence click on the line. To choose all the Geofences together click on the top square.
    Name - Name of the Geofence as it will appear on different platforms
    Type - Type of the Geofence. Users may select between the following types: Radius, Polygon, Route, Point
    Organization - To which organization the Geofence belongs
    Fleet/Cluster - To which fleet/cluster the Geofence belongs
    Group - To which group, does the Geofence belong

  2. A Geofences report contains a complete list of the Geofences of the organization. By using this feature, the organization will be able to manage data in a more organized manner to improve its overall view.

  3. Refresh Geofence

  4. Remove Geofence - Choose the relevant Geofence and click “Remove”

  5. Add Geofence

  6. To create a Geofence just choose a place on the map or fill in the address/location.

After you finish the drawing, fill in the information about the Geofence and save the information.

7. Load from file - Visit the following link if you want to load multiple batch points or radius geofences either from a list of addresses or from a list of coordinates

Geofence File Loader

To load multiple Geofences either from a list of addresses (XLSX/CSV format) or from a list of coordinates (KML format), please follow the instructions below:

KML Format

KML format supports Polygon, Route, and Batch Points geofences

  1. Use the Geofences Management solution >> Load From File

 

  1. Choose your KML file and make sure the file is uploaded successfully

  1. Choose which organization, cluster, or group the Polygon, Route, or Batch Point will belong to

  1. When finished, click the “Upload” button to load the data into the system

XLSX/CSV Format

XLSX/CSV format support Radius and Batch Points Geofences

  1. Use the Geofences Management solution >> Load From File

  1. Follow the next steps to create or adjust your geofences file to the correct format

 

  • Radius Geofence - Use the attached files to create a radius geofence. Please do not change the headings in row number 1

(info) Supported class values: Fuel station, Station, Check Point, Home, Customer, Office, Warning, Supermarket, Shop, Warehouse.

 

  • Batch Point Geofence - Use the attached files to create a batch point. Please do not change the headings in row number 1

(info) Supported class values: Fuel station, Station, Check Point, Home, Customer, Office, Warning, Supermarket, Shop, Warehouse.

 

  1. After you create the file in the right format, please upload the file into the system, refresh the page and you will see all the Radius/Points from the file

  1. Choose which organization, cluster, or group the Radius/Points will belong to

  1. When finished, click the “Upload” button to load the data into the system
