The latest version update of the Galooli Gateways includes features that reflect an open dialogue with our customers and Galooli’s desire to facilitate and improve hardware usage. This article contains information about the main features.

  • New parameters for the various devices

Query Retries

This parameter determines the number of times to remain in each register or object before concluding that communication is not normal. In general, the default value is 2 and this is the recommended value. it is recommended that you consult Galooli's support if you wish to change this value.

Connecting Timeout (Modbus over TCP & SNMP ETH devices)

This parameter determines whether or not the communication status should be checked prior to initiating the information request, and for how long. The default value is 0 and this is the official recommendation.

The two parameters are designed to ensure more stable communication, especially with solar inverters of different types.

  •  Parity Bit Configuration

As of this version, Galooli supports different "Parity Bit" options in addition to the "None" default option. The options are: “Even” and “Odd”, and that in order to facilitate new integrations with devices of varying versions. New options have been added to the Elara device configuration menu and the "Direct-Comm" menu.

 

  • Inverter/Charger Device Group
    The "Inverter-PV", and "Inverter-Battery" groups in the Elara device configuration process have been merged into a single group called “Inverter-Charger” in order to facilitate Galooli's integration with both devices.

 

 

  • Elara Ethernet Version
    The Elara gateway's Ethernet module will be updated to “Gal-B”.

  • RPT Power New LIB Support
    The Power Center now supports new RPT-NCM48235 LIBs. New LIBs are manufactured by the “RPT Power” company.

  • Forlong New AC Meter Support
    The Power Center now supports a new “Forlong-DRT-301C-II” AC Meter. New AC Meter is manufactured by the “Forlong” company.

 

  • SMA New Products Support
    A new product from the SMA company is now supported by the Power Center. The products are:

  • Victron Cerbo-GX New Product Support
    Power Center now supports a new product from Victron. A Victron Cerbo-GX product allows you to monitor battery charge, power consumption, and power harvest from PV, generator, and mains, or to measure tank levels and temperatures.

  • Acrel New DC Meter Support
    The Power Center now supports a new “Acrel-PZ72L” DC Meter. New DC Meter is manufactured by the “Acrel” company.
