K1 SMS Commands
All device configurations in K1 are conducted with SMS commands. Each command has a unique syntax to help control the parameters required to set the proper functionality of the device.
Server Settings
Settings define the connectivity between the SIM and the server. These definitions are required to enable data transmission from the vehicle to the server. Server information should be received from your Galooli support and should include the server number and domain name. APN information contains the network and access information to the SIM provider.
Action | Command | Comments | Example |
---|---|---|---|
Define Server and Port | SERVER,1,<domain name>,5026,0# | SERVER,1,v1.zoncontrol.net,5026,0# | |
Define APN Settings | APN,<Network Name>,<User Name>,<User Password># | In the case of Galooli SIM, no username or password is required For external SIM, receive info from the supplier | APN,internet,User1,Password1# |
Conditions for Data Transmission
Settings that determine the conditions for data transmission. By default, Galooli allows data transmission regardless of the status of the unit. This includes the transmission of data when the ignition is off and when no GPS reading is detected. These settings also include the intervals of data transmission and the time zone presented.
Most settings under this category should not be changed as they ensure proper performance of the Galooli solution
Action | Command | Comments | Example |
---|---|---|---|
Define transmission intervals. Indicates how often data should be transmitted to the server when the ignition is on and when the ignition off ACC - ON ACC - OFF | TIMER, T1, T2# | T1=ranges 60~18000 seconds, upload interval when ACC ON. Default is 60 seconds T2=ranges 60~18000 seconds, upload interval when ACC OFF. Default is 900 seconds | TIMER,60,900# |
Ensures continuous connection to the server by sending periodic heartbeats from device to server | HBT, T1, T2# | T1 = 1 to 300 minutes, heartbeat packet upload interval when ACC ON, the default value is 1 minute T2 = 1 ~300 minutes, heartbeat packet upload interval when ACC OFF, the default value is 1 minute | HBT,1,1# The setting should not be changed |
Define time zone compared to GMT | GMT,A,B,C# | A = E/W; E for East Time Zone, W for West Time Zone; Default E B = 0 to 12; time zone; default:0 C: 0/15/30/45; half time zone; default:0 | GMT,E,0,0# (GMT) The setting should not be changed |
Defines data transmission regardless of the ignition status | ACCREP, A# | A = ON/OFF; Default: ON | ACCREP, ON# The setting should not be changed When On, the status will always be transmitted |
Define data transmit without GPS reception | GPSDUP, A# | A= ON, regularly upload data when the terminal is not in positioning A = OFF, no position data is uploaded when the terminal is not positioned. Default: OFF | GPSDUP, ON# The setting should not be changed |
Power Disconnect Settings
The setting defines the detection and transmission of unit battery power disconnection which essentially means the unit is no longer transmitting data.
Action | Command | Comments | Example |
---|---|---|---|
Define battery power disconnection | POWERALM,A,M,T1,T2# | A = ON/OFF, default: ON M = 0/1/2 , way of alarming 0: GPRS only - default 1: SMS + GPRS 2: GPRS + SMS + Phone call T1 = Detection time - determines how long to wait before detecting power is disconnected, 2~60 seconds. Default: 10 T2 = Minimum charging time - determines how long the battery should be connected to begin reading power data, 1 - 3600 seconds. Default: 120 | POWERALM,ON,0,10,120# The setting should not be changed |
Vibration Alarms Settings
The setting defines the detection and transmission of vehicle vibration which can be useful for the detection of towing or similar events. An arming mode called Defense is a requirement for this alarm.
Action | Command | Comments | Example |
---|---|---|---|
Define defense activation. Defense mode is required to enable vibration alarms | DEFENSE, A# | A:1~60 minutes, the delay time of arming | DEFENSE,2# Defense On is a requirement for the vibration alarm |
Define vibration alarm | SENALM, A, M# | A = ON/OFF. M = O/1/2, a way of alarming 0: GPRS only - default 1: SMS + GPRS 2: GPRS + SMS + phone call | SENALM, ON,0# This setting should not be changed |
External Voltage Measuring Settings
The setting defines the detection and transmission of external voltage (vehicle battery).
Action | Command | Comments | Example |
---|---|---|---|
Defines measuring of external voltage | ADT,A,T# | A = ON; Turn on external power detection A = OFF; Turn off external power detection. Default = OFF T = Upload interval 5~3600 seconds. Default = 600 seconds | ADT,ON,600# |
Distance Measuring Settings
The setting defines the detection and transmission of distance traveled. It is essential to enter the initial mileage recorded from the Odometer to properly calculate the current distance
Action | Command | Comments | Example |
---|---|---|---|
Defines distance measuring | MILEAGE,A,L# | A = On/OFF L = mileage initial value in km. Range 0 - 999999km. When L is 0, mileage is cleared | MILEAGE, ON,0# |
Parameter Requests from the Device
Users can request parameters from the device to be sent via SMS. Please note, that each request consumes power from the unit and this should be taken into consideration, especially when the vehicle is Off.
Action | Command | Comments |
---|---|---|
Request parameters from the device: IMEI Timer Sensor Set Defense Time Time Zone | PARAM# | |
Request parameters from the device: Internal battery GPRS GPS ACC Defense | STATUS# | |
Reset device | RESET# | The terminal will reset after 20 seconds |
