Preferences determines different presets related to distance and fuel.

Time to Idle - Determines the time the system waits until it considers the unit as idling. It is recommended to offer several minutes before considering a non-moving asset as Idling. This is to avoid situations where the asset isn't moving due to traffic, stoplights or other situations that shouldn't be considered as Idling.

Distance upon Installation - Determines the distance indicated in the asset's odometer upon installation. Adding the distance upon installation can help the system notify users of maintenance or checkup times.

Distance is based on GPS data and Odometer reading during installation. It is possible there will be a discrepancy between the Odometer reading and the GPS reading up to 5%. It is recommended to update the Odometer reading manually once per year to ensure complete synchronization.

Engine Hours upon Installation - Determines the number of engine hours accumulated in the asset's engine upon installation. Adding the distance upon installation can help the system notify users of maintenance or checkup times.

Fuel Consumption Presets - Fuel consumption as determined by the asset manufacturer for either Liter per Hour or Liter per 100 KM. Adding an indication of expected fuel consumption can help determine if the asset's actual consumption meet or exceed the expected consumption and identify potential issues or fuel drops.
