Power Center Communication Troubleshooting
How to Detect the Fault? | Fault Description | Troubleshooting Steps |
---|
The AC meter connection state is “No Connection”
|
Elara connected but the AC meter displayed “No connection”
| The AC meter's LEDs should be blinking and the power supply should be on. Check that RS485 A and RS485 B cables are connected correctly (RS485 A = pin 14, RS485 B = pin 15). Ensure the communication cables (RS-485) is in good condition and not broken or overly long (up to 15 meters). Make sure the baud rate of the meter is 19200 and the device ID is according to your wiring diagram. Verify that Port 1 on the Elara is “host”.

Negative Current & Power Factor Troubleshooting
How to Detect the Fault? | Fault Description | Troubleshooting Steps |
---|
The Current & Power factors are negative |
A negative reading is obtained because the power source cable passes through the current ring in the wrong direction
| As shown in the picture below, make sure the phase direction is correct

The phases cables of the AC ring connected to the wrong pins in the AC meter
| Verify you connect the cables from the CT ring to the AC meter according to the relevant phases.
Pin 4 > Phase 1 Current [+] > Red cable Pin 5 > Phase 1 Current [-] > Black cable Pin 6 > Phase 2 Current [+] > Red cable Pin 7 > Phase 2 Current [-] > Black cable Pin 8 > Phase 3 Current [+] > Red cable Pin 9 > Phase 3 Current [-] > Black cable
