A Power Issue (no LEDs are blinking)

  1. Make sure the positive wire is connected to pin 7 and the negative wire is connected to pin 8

  2. Make sure the power supply is 12 volts DC

  3. Make sure the power supply is available on the AC meter side (make sure the cable is not broken)

A Communication Issue With RS485 (AC connected directly to a computer)

  1. Make sure A and B connections are not upside down (A=pin 16, B=pin 15)

  2. Ensure the cable is in good condition and not broken or overly long (up to 15 meters).

  3. Make sure the baud rate is 19200 (scan with 9600 to make sure it is not the issue).

No Communication to Power Center (Elara connected but AC meter display as “not connected”)

  1. The AC meter's LEDs should be blinking and the power supply should be on

  2. Make sure the cable is not broken or too long (up to 15 meters)

  3. Verify that Port 1 on the Elara is “HOST”

AC Meter Display Negative Current Value and Power Factor Is Negative

  1. Change the phase direction according to the wiring diagram

AC Meter Displays a Wrong Voltage

  1. Verify the voltage L1 and Current L1 are both on L1 (same for L2 and L3)

  2. Verify Neutral is connected to pin 4 on the faze side
