The aircraft warning light is an integral part of a telecom setup.
Telecom towers are not safe for pilots and any space users, especially in the nighttime. Towers are of different heights from the ground to the cloud. Functional lights are important as a warning to space users like pilots. Each tower light status needs to be monitored and if not working must be serviced to ensure safety.
Tower/Aircraft warning lights may operate on AC and DC power.
AC Power AWL
AC-powered tower bulbs are used to provide security warnings. The usual 220Volt Edison screw bulbs are commonly installed.
Monitoring is achieved with the use of an AC current transducer ring installed around the AC cable which carries the tower light current.
The transducer is instructed to read the tower bulbs number in relation to AC current Amperes being drawn from the power source. Changes in current related to the number of bulbs that are working or faulty.
Galooli monitors this number of working and faulty lights and sends alarms (working and failed bulbs) to the client.
DC Power AWL
DC-powered tower bulbs communicate through dry contacts. The Galooli system has dedicated dry contacts for this installation.
