The latest version of the Galooli Gateways includes features that reflect an open dialogue with our customers and Galooli’s desire to facilitate and improve hardware usage. This article contains information about the main features.

  • ELARA CAN Bus Communication Support
The Elara gateway now supports CAN Bus communication (J1939 protocol) which allows a direct connection to the generator engine without the need for a generator control panel.

For these capabilities to be achieved, it is necessary to:

    • The "checkboxes" section has been moved to a more appropriate location.

  • CAN Silent Mode
As with the firewall, when using the Elara CAN this mode prevents data from being sent to the engine control unit.

This mode can therefore be activated if the user wishes to have the unit only "listen" to the communication line.

As this mode may affect the connectivity between the CAN and the unit, it is not our default. If someone insists on using it, however, it is supported.
