If the Linux gateway is unable to communicate via mobile communication, the LAN communication will automatically take over. The following are some clarifications to the topic:

...

Whenever there is both a mobile and LAN communication, the mobile communication should be given priority. Observations have shown that the behavior in this manner is smoother.

...

It takes approximately one or two minutes for the Linux gateways to detect that there is no mobile connection. The communication automatically switches to LAN communication.

...

Galooli’s Linux gateways supports both LAN and mobile communication.

Below are the different communication scenarios:

  1. Both mobile and LAN available – communication is via mobile network. The gateways are configured in a way to prioritize mobile communication when both LAN and mobile are available, this way the transmission between the 2 method is smoother.

  2. Mobile becomes not available, LAN remains available – the gateway will switch to LAN communication within 1-2 minutes.

  3. Mobile returns – communication returns to mobile once network is available.
