With the Techbase RTU gateway and the "Cut Through" procedure, it is possible to read and set various parameters from different devices that communicate using various methods, including Modbus over RS485, SNMP over Ethernet.
The devices include rectifiers, smart batteries, generators, inverters, and charge controllers.
The gateway serve as a conduit between the cloud and the device.
“OpenVPN” Platform Cut Trough Limitations
Normally, only one user can be connected to "OpenVPN" at a time. It is necessary to contact Galooli if more than one user wishes to be connected at the same time.
“OpenVPN” Platform Installation Process
Open a ticket to the Galooli support team in order to create a user at the “OpenVPN” platform. The ticket must include the user email and the request to create OVPN profile file and password. The next step can only be taken after you receive a response from Galooli
Download and install the “OpenVPN” platform.
Enter to the “OpenVPN” platform and import the profile file you got from the Galooli support team.
Upon uploading the profile file, enter the password you received from Galooli support and click “Connect”.
5. Be sure to keep the platform open and ensure that the status is "Connected”
Power Center Cut Trough Process
Open the Galooli Power Center platform.
Establish a serial/OTA connection between the RTU gateway and the relevant device in the Power Center.
Select the "Services Center" tab and then the "Gateway Cuttrough".
Please enter the login credentials, the device ID, and the destination IP address of the relevant device (Rectifier, Panel Controller, Invertor, etc.) and click on “Initiate”.
You will receive a new IP address after a few seconds. The address should be copied. Please keep the Power Center opened.
Paste the IP address into any web browser.
As long as all the steps of the procedure are completed properly, you will see a web landing page where you can view the relevant information about the device.
