100AH | RS485 (Modbus) |
200AH | Ethernet (SNMP) |
Pinout
100AH Model - RS485 (Modbus)
Pin 2 - RS485 A
Pin 3 - RS485 B
Physical Installation
It is recommended, whenever possible, to connect the smart batteries to RS485 Port 2, separately from other RS485-connected devices and sensors such as fuel sensors, power meters, etc. This approach enhances surge protection for the batteries and isolates them from potential surges affecting the other RS485-connected devices.
100AH Model - RS485 (Modbus)
Connect an Ethernet LAN cable from the Galooli Gateway/Computer to the RS485 A port on the left side of the first battery. Ensure that the right-side RS485 port is used to connect the first battery to the left-side RS485 port of the second battery. Continue this daisy-chain connection for all additional batteries.
200AH Model - Ethernet (SNMP)
Connect an Ethernet LAN cable from the first battery to the Ethernet switch. Then, connect all remaining batteries and the Galooli gateway to the same Ethernet switch.
Device Configuration
100AH Model - RS485 (Modbus)
Identify pins 2 and 3 as RS485 communication lines, and connect them to the corresponding terminals on the RS485-to-USB converter.
Download and open the “Tian_Power Energy Storage BMS V1.5.73”, select the COM, open the port to read the batteries.
200AH Model - Ethernet (SNMP)
Configure the computer's Ethernet settings as shown below.
Device IP | 192.168.100.58 |

Power Center Configuration
100AH Model - RS485 (Modbus)
Note the ID is set by dipswitches on the battery. Setting ID=1 on the battery result in physical ID 39 (.. and so on) for configuration.
ID Assignments
Battery | Device IP | Virtual ID |
1 | 39 | 70 |
2 | 40 | 71 |
3 | 41 | 72 |
4 | 42 | 73 |
5 | 43 | 74 |
200AH Model - Ethernet (SNMP)
The SNMP bases integration require separate IP per battery (all connected via ethernet hub/switch) so we defined the base IP for battery 1 to 192.168.100.50 (battery 2 to 192.168.100.51, etc.)
Note the ID is set by dipswitches on the battery. setting ID=1 on the battery result in physical ID 39 (.. and so on) for configuration.
ID Assignments
Battery | Device IP | Virtual ID |
1 | 192.168.100.50 | 70 |
2 | 192.168.100.51 | 71 |
3 | 192.168.100.52 | 72 |
4 | 192.168.100.53 | 73 |
5 | 192.168.100.54 | 74 |
