SNMP Gateway Cut Through (Ultragate)
With the Galooli SNMP Gateway Cut-Through procedure, it is possible to read and configure various parameters from devices that communicate via SNMP.
Supported devices include rectifiers, smart batteries, generators, inverters, and charge controllers.
The gateway serves as a secure conduit between the cloud and the device.
This procedure is supported only via the Ultragate Gateway.
OpenVPN
“OpenVPN” Platform Cut Through Limitations
Normally, only one user can be connected to "OpenVPN" at a time. It is necessary to contact Galooli if more than one user wishes to be connected at the same time.
“OpenVPN” Platform Installation Process
Open a ticket to the Galooli support team in order to create a user at the “OpenVPN” platform. The ticket must include the user email and the request to create OVPN profile file and password. The next step can only be taken after you receive a response from Galooli
Download and install the “OpenVPN” platform.
Enter to the “OpenVPN” platform and import the profile file you got from the Galooli support team.
Upon uploading the profile file, enter the password you received from Galooli support and click “Connect”.
5. Be sure to keep the platform open and ensure that the status is "Connected”
Power Center Cut Through Process
Open the Galooli Power Center platform.
Establish an OTA connection between the RTU gateway and the relevant device in the Power Center. Enter the login credentials and the Unit ID.
Click on “RTU/Elara” > “Read Configuration” and then “Status”.
Enter the "Gateway CutThrough" > Enter the IP address of the device you want to connect to, then click “Initiate.”
Suspend Device Polling While ConnectedThe Suspend device polling while connected option controls Ultragate polling behavior during a Cut-through connection. When this option is disabled, the Ultragate continues polling the device as usual while the Cut-through connection is active. When this option is enabled, the Ultragate temporarily stops polling the device that matches the configured Forward IP for as long as the Cut-through connection is active. This allows the Cut-through user to be the only active connection to the sensor, which is useful for devices that do not handle parallel connections from multiple sources properly. The default behavior is disabled.
You will receive a new IP address after a few seconds along with 3 URL addresses. You can copy the IP address and paste it into your browser, or click the first link (HTTP).
If your device requires a higher security level, click the second link (HTTPS).
The Gateway Cuttrough wizard includes a direct PuTTY button that appears once the connection is established (including the IP).
Please keep the Power Center opened.
As long as all the steps of the procedure are completed properly, you will see a web landing page where you can view the relevant information about the device.
