Log-In Process

It is very easy and intuitive for the user to log in to the Power Center platform. Username (Email) and password are the same as those configured on the main Galooli Solution platform - Galooli Solution | Log In Process

  • Upon successful registration, you will not be required to enter a username or password again, unless the Power Center was deleted, reinstalled or a version update was performed.

  • If you are a global user, please enter the name of the organization after the email using &.

  • Users who forget their password should reset the password via the Galooli Solution platform - How to Reset Password?. If you are unable to register despite recovering your password, you must verify that you have the appropriate permissions to access Power Center. The permissions called “Hardware Configuration Tools”. Permission Management | General Authorization Permission

  • In the event you use a Windows operating system on your computer, you may receive a security warning when you attempt to install Power Center or when you perform a version update of Power Center. To proceed with the process, please refer to the image below.

Control

The Control menu in the RTU/ELARA tab allows the user to monitor the gateway status, view general device information, and manage configuration files. From this menu, the user can read the current configuration from the device, write an updated configuration to the gateway, refresh the displayed data, and perform a device reset when required. It also provides access to load configuration files and save existing configurations for backup or reuse, all within the scope of standard User-level permissions.

  • Status
Provides the latest information from the gateway and all connected devices and sensors. Clicking Status triggers an immediate data refresh instead of waiting for the next update.

  • Information
Expands the data shown in the Status tab, providing additional details and context

  • Read Configuration
To retrieve any information from the gateway, this action must be performed.

  • Write Configuration
Applies the configuration changes made. This action must be performed only after completing Read Configuration.

  • Refresh

    • In Elara gateway, the behavior is identical to Reset.

    • In Ultragate gateway, the action applies the parameter file without requiring a full reboot. The unit disconnects and reconnects after a few seconds.

  • Reset
After performing Write Configuration, this action must be executed to apply the updated configuration and refresh the gateway data.

  • Direct-Comm

  • Gateway Cut through

  • Load
Upload a predefined parameters file (GIB).

  • Save As..
Save a new parameters file for use with other gateways.

Adv. Control

The Advanced Control menu in the RTU/ELARA tab provides extended device-level operations intended for maintenance and advanced management. From this menu, the user can set the gateway time, control digital outputs (ON/OFF), clear internal logs and input counters, and update or request the device location. It also allows initiating version checks, performing firmware (IAP) upgrades, and saving default parameters, enabling deeper control over the gateway’s behavior and lifecycle within the permitted access scope.

  • Set Time - TBA

  • Output-ON - TBA

  • Output-OFF - TBA

  • Clear Internal Log
Not recommended for use, as it deletes all accumulated logs collected while the unit was disconnected.

  • Clear Input Counters - TBA

  • Set Location
If GPS reception is poor, the location can be entered manually.

  • Request Location
Send a request to retrieve the location.

  • Upgrade Version
Firmware can be updated via a serial connection.

  • Initiate Version Check
Checks the current firmware version and automatically updates it if it is not up to date (Ultragate)

  • Upgrade IAP Version
Updates the gateway’s IAP (In-Application Programming) version. This process upgrades the internal firmware module responsible for device communication and system operations, ensuring compatibility with the latest features, fixes, and supported devices.

  • Save Default - TBA

Control

The Control menu in the All Devices tab allows monitoring gateway status, viewing device information, and performing basic configuration actions. Available options vary by gateway type and enable information retrieval and operational actions for gateways other than Elara and Ultragate.

Status & Configuration Tabs

The Status and Configuration menus together provide a complete view of the gateway and connected devices. The Status menu is used to verify real-time connectivity and live data, while the Configuration menu defines how devices are set up and how data is collected and communicated. Together, they allow users to both validate system operation and control its behavior.

Information in both menus is displayed only after a successful physical or OTA connection to the gateway has been completed, and after the “Read Configuration” and read “Status” processes have been executed successfully.

Status Menu

This menu is intended for real-time monitoring and operational validation. It displays the current connection state of each component (Connected / Disconnected), live measurement values such as voltage, current, and accumulated energy (kWh), device identifiers, physical ports, and the last refresh time for each value. This is a read-only view used to verify that the equipment is connected, communicating properly, and reporting valid data, without allowing any configuration changes.

Configuration Menu

This menu is intended for device setup and configuration. It allows defining communication and logical parameters such as Modbus addresses, serial ports, baud rates, timeouts, retry counts, register mappings, data types, and scaling factors. It also shows the relationship between the physical device and its virtual configuration, including the default configuration in use. Changes made here directly affect how data is collected and how communication with the device is performed.

The actions available through the Configuration menu are detailed in the following knowledge base documents:

Services Center Menu

The bottom navigation bar allows the user to receive an indication of the connection of the various units and define the form of connection to the units.

  • This section indicates the connection of the units via colors (red and green)

  • Active Device - Selection of options for connecting to the Gateways:

    • The “Power Device” option should be selected in case of connection to EX20ETH, EX20

    • The “TR7Z-TR5” option should be selected in case of TBA

    • The “RTU/ELARA” option should be selected in case of connection to Elara/Ultragate gateways

image-20251207-095204.png
  • Connection Via - Type of connection to the gateway (OTA or Serial)

    • A voltage of at least 3.5 volts is required for the OTA connection.
