Please complete all the steps as detailed below before installation. Completing all relevant steps will help to ensure successful fuel readings from the Holykell sensor:

  1. Inspect the fuel tank for installation.

  2. Measure the tank’s dimensions as follows and record all measurements in the calibration excel table:

    a. Hexagonal Tank:

L - External Tank Length

W - Tank External Width

D2 - Tank External Height

D1 - Tank Internal Height

• Fuel Level (measured using the stick)

• Metal Thickness

b. Vertical Cylinder Tank:

d - External Tank Diameter
h - External Tank Height
h1 - Tank Internal Height

• Fuel Level (measured using the stick)

• Metal Thickness

c. Horizontal Cylinder Tank:

R - Radius of Tank
h - Distance from top to fuel

• Tank External Length
• Tank External Diameter (internal height)
• Metal Thickness
• Tank Volume

3. Ensure the tank is clean and void of traces of dirt and sludge. Dirty tanks will impact the accuracy of the fuel sensor reading and might cause malfunctions in the sensor itself

4. Use the manual fuel pump to extract a fuel sample. Pour the sample into a separate transparent container. Inspect the fuel in the container to verify the fuel does not contain water or sludge, as this will affect the readings from the sensor.

Preparation of Calibration Tube

The calibration tool is made up of:

  • 1 meter of PVC 110

  • 1 PVC cover for 110

The two parts need to be glued together with a special glue for PVC as follows:

1 meter of PVC 110 \ 90 mm

Cover for PVC 110

Glue the cover with a PVC glue

  • No labels
