To install 2 Omnicomm fuel level sensors in a moving unit to measure the fuel and combine the data, it is imperative to follow the following steps as accurately and carefully as possible.

Step 1 - Gateway Connection

  1. Connect one of the fuel sensors to the computer via an RS485 connector.

  2. Open the Omnicomm internal configuration software (Download link)

  3. Change the Sensor Network Address from 1 to 2.

Step 2 - Configuration Center

  1. Open the Configuration Center and connect via serial connection or OTA.

  2. Scroll down until you find the "Fuel” configuration.

  3. Configure the fields as shown in the picture.

Step 3 - Create a Calibration Table For Each Fuel Tank

  1. Create a calibration table for each tank via Customer Portal >> ‘My Calibrations’ as shown in the picture (Example only)

  2. Make sure you use the right source of data from your calibration table.

Step 4 - Create the sum calibration table connecting the two tables

  1. Create a Sum table that contains both calibration tables from the previous step

Max value = Max liter (Both tanks)

Source 1 = 14 (table 1)

Source 2 = 15 (table 2)

Step 5 - Assign The Tables To The Correct Unit

  1. Login to ZonMax, find the unit, and enter the settings.

  2. Locate the IO’s tab and create 3 Analog Inputs as shown in the picture.
-Remember to add the calibration tables to each input
-The Fuel Level input must be configured as “Main Fuel Tank”
