Sensor description & assembly

The sensor is made up of two metal rods. The first one includes the sensor processor, and the second one is a magnet, which provides an indicator if the door is opened or closed.

Color of the wire

Description

Red

Normally opened - Do not use

Green

IO output indicator towards the IoT device

Black

+12V DC supply

 

Wiring and installation

Before getting started with the installation, make sure you have the wiring diagram relevant to your project readily available.

Connect the Black & Green wires according to the following scheme:

  • Black wire – to a +12V DC power source.

  • Green wire – to the dedicated port on the Elara/EX device.

  • NC red wire – Do not use.

Connect the IO wire (Green) to the dedicated IO port on the Elara device or the Terminal block.
