  • Connect to the requested ELARA OTA.

  • Make sure that the firmware of the ELARA is 001.002.014 and above.

  • Click on the “Direct-Comm” button in the “Control” tab.

  • Make sure you insert the right addresses; you can verify it from the device (rectifier) configuration screen.

  • Open your web browser.

  • In the URL field, write “localhost:90” and wait.

  • Now you are connected directly to the device control screen. (This example is a Vertiv rectifier, but it can be any rectifier/device).

  • Fill in the credentials of the specific rectifier and log in.

    Hardware Behavior

When the ELARA enters Cut Through mode, meaning, after entering to localhost:90 in the browser. The following things happen:

  • The ELARA doesn’t collect data and metrics from the sensors.

  • The ELARA stops the periodic transmissions to the server (Database).

  • The status LED is rapidly blinking.

The ELARA will return to normal mode after the set timeout has elapsed – the timeout starts to count after there was no activity in the rectifier interface via Cut Through (no mouse movement, no configuration change).

For example, I connected to the rectifier screen, set a 10-minute timeout, then navigated and changed the rectifier settings for 20 minutes using the Cut Through, and then logged out - at this point, a 10-minute count will start (when there is no mouse movement or any change in the rectifier screen).
If the 10 minutes are completed, the ELARA will return to normal mode. If during these 10 minutes, I decide to move the mouse again or perform any action, the time count will stop and count from the beginning only when I stop the activity on the rectifier.
