On the dashboard you can see the generators' performance, including expenses associated with fuel and maintenance, aspects of generator efficiency and possible causes - such as an inefficient load.

Key TakewaysTakeaways:

  • Fuel cost calculation based on actual consumption.

  • Generator maintenance cost calculation, based on generators actual runtime.

  • Proper generator sizing for load requirements

  • Generators efficiency rates, and identification of the most inefficient generators.

In order to match the data to the specific equipment which is being used by your organization, it is important to perform data matching before running the report. Without doing this action Galooli will rely on default data as defined below.

No. of Sites with Generators

The number of sites with at least one configured generator.

Total Fuel Cost

The total fuel cost based on the fuel consumption during the selected time period. The cost per liter/gallon can be configured by the user. If there is no configured value, the dahsboard dashboard uses a default value of 0.78$ per liter.

Total Maintenance Cost

The total cost of maintenance visits based on the generators run time. The cost is calculated as the price per generator maintenance visit, and engine hours for which a maintenance visit is required: visit cost*total engine hours/hours of maintenance.

The price per visit for generator maintenance, and the engine hours for which the visit is required, can be configured by the user. If there is no configured value, the dashboard uses a defualt default values of 250 cycle hours for periodic maintenance, and 90$ per maintenance visit cost.

Total Engine Hours

Total generators run time for the selected time period. Based on the summary fields "Avail. Time DG1" and "Avail Time DG2" (https://galooli.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KP/pages/2861563909/Energy+Global+Fields)

Energy Global Fields

Fuel

The total amount of fuel consumed, refuledrefueled, and the total amout amount of fuel drops.

Efficiency Trend

The graph shows the trend of the fuel efficiency rates - the average values per site per day of L/Gallon per hour and L/Gallon per kWh. In addition, shows the trend of the average generators hours per site per day.

Load Split

The dashboard calculates the average operating load for each site over the selected time period. In order to calculate the operating load, the average actual power of the generator is divided by the apparent power (KVA) (and a power factor of 0.8). Because the apparent power of a generator is a function of its size, low/high operating loads can indicate a problem with the generator's sizing. 60%-80% is the recommended operating load for the generator, to optimize the generator's health and fuel efficiency.

Most Inefficienct Generators

...

The generator's KVA can be configured by the user. If there is no value configured, the site will be counted as "No Load Information" in the pie.

Most Inefficient Generators

The most inefficient generators in terms of fuel consumption (L/Gallon) per energy production (kWh)
