Pie Type | The pie item can be structured as an 'Argument & Value Pie' or as a 'Values Only Pie.' In an Argument & Value Pie, each slice is labeled with both a category (argument) and its corresponding value, offering context to the value by specifying what it represents. This type is useful when the chart’s purpose is to emphasize both the category names and their values, making it easier to compare categories directly. In contrast, a Values Only Pie displays only the values for each slice, without specifying categories. This format is simpler and focuses purely on the proportion of each value within the whole. It's beneficial when the specific categories are already understood by the audience or are less important than the overall value distribution.
Name | Each item can be renamed by the user
| The pie is divided according to the argument - the pie "slices" are the results of the field chosen as argument. Arguments can only show the top/bottom “N” results. “N” can be set by the user in the “Value” configuration tool. In the following example, "Event Name" was chosen as the pie argument. The option "Top N" was selected with N=3, and "Show Others" is enabled. | ||
| The data set that would be divided into the pie "slices". Only one value can be chosen for the pie. In the following example, "Unit Name" was chosen as the values. | ||
Summary type | The value will have different types of summary/total calculations.
| ||
Format type | The format for the display of numeric values (not relevant for textual values). Format options are: Number - Show the value as a number. Percent - Multiply the value by 100 and show as percent. example: if value is 0.8, show 80%. Currency – Show the value with the currency icon. example: if value is 0.8, show 0.8$. The currency will be displayed according to the currency defined for the organization, or the currency defined for the cluster (cluster definitions take precedence over organization definition).
